Value your Car or Truck

You may need to value your vehicle for the trustee when you file bankruptcy.  To do that go to

http://www.nada.com/

Start by looking at the vehicles make and model, include all the options and report the middle value for an average vehicle.  You may be required to take a higher value if the vehicle is in excellent condition or relatively new, but may be able to take the lower value for clunkers.  Be sure you understand the 910 rule – you may be able to strip off some of the vehicles value in a chapter 13!
